THE BENEFITS
OF USING RELOCATION SERVICES IN THESE CHALLENGING TIMES
Relocation assistance for your employees can give your company
HUGE cost savings. Here are 10 good reasons to engage the
services of A-Locate:
1. COMMUNICATING by e-mail prior to arrival
ensures no time is wasted.
2. Your employee’s criteria and wishes are known upfront,
allowing us to source RELEVANT properties and schools for
immediate action.
3. Less time is required in a serviced apartment upon arrival,
meaning COST SAVINGS to you.
4. Only APPROPRIATE areas and suitable housing are shown to
your employee, saving valuable time.
5. When the decision on a suitable property has been made,
A-Locate ensures that the application for tenancy will be
highly rated and usually successful due to our excellent RELATIONSHIPS
with Real Estate Agents.
6. There is less loss of productivity in the office as your
employee is SETTLED quickly and can focus on their work tasks
(rather that spending time searching websites looking for
a home).
7. A-Locate has an excellent RAPPORT with the Registrars at
the independent schools.
8. Rental Furniture can be arranged at a very COMPETITIVE
price.
9. The family can start their ‘new’ life in Sydney
being settled in their NEW HOME only days after arrival.
10. We connect UTILITIES efficiently, again saving valuable
time.
IMMIGRATION MEANS
CHANGE
When Australia first started its active migration
policy in the 1950’s and European migrants were accepted,
there was change everywhere. Australia opened their minds
to migrants and although not wholeheartedly accepted at first,
they made the decision to come.
In 1990 there was no List of Occupations in
Demand, Critical Skills List, English language testing and
minimum salary levels. Spouse application obtained residence
straight away and there were no electronic visas.
Australian Migration Policy is the most complex
law that we have and the legal profession across the board
concur with this view. HR professionals are expected to deal
with this migration law yet the vast majority have no legal
training. They must keep up with changes in this law if they
are to do their job without legal complications.

PROFILING SHARYN SKRABANICH,
RELOCATION PRACTITIONER
Sharyn Skrabanich joined A-Locate just over
12 months ago and has worked in the relocation industry for
3 ½ years.
Sharyn has three children aged 14, 11 and 7 and a great understanding
of what moving to a new place is like.
"Children can either be ecstatic about
moving to a new location or absolutely loathe it!" Quite
often, it is the mother who has to deal with the emotional
complexities of the task, whilst the father is trying to settle
into his new role or position within a company. It is a highly
emotional and draining time for all of the family members
involved. “I have complete empathy with the personalities
involved, whilst being objective enough to assist with informed,
decision making when and if required”, says Sharyn.
